National Weather Service description (English): Numerous reports were received of hail ranging from two to three inches in diameter from the southwest through northwest sides of Plainview. Many vehicles sustained significant damage including shattered windows. Also, hundreds of homes and businesses on the west and northwest side of Plainview received varying degrees of roof damage. Monetary damage estimates were unavailable at the time of this entry.

National Weather Service description (English): Two inch diameter hail was reported by the The National Severe Storms Laboratory SHAVE Project east of Seth Ward. These very large hail stones briefly mixed with smaller quarter size hail. No significant damage was reported as a result of the hail.

National Weather Service description (English): A citizen reported golf ball size hail east of Halfway. Damage to center pivots, grain crops, and half a dozen power poles was reported in the area between Edmonson and Hale Center due to the large hail and strong thunderstorm winds.
