Damage to homes, businesses, vehicles, and wheat crops was common from two miles east of Woodrow to Ransom Canyon. In addition to the hail, strong rear flank downdraft winds picked up gravel in Slaton and blew out dozens of windows in cars and buildings. Combined damage estimates would likely reach $300M.

Ìṣàpèjúwe Iṣẹ́ Ojú-ọjọ́ Orílẹ̀-èdè (Gẹ̀ẹ́sì): A swath of very large hail from golf ball size to at times baseballs accompanied a stationary supercell thunderstorm in southeast Lubbock County. Photos from residents in Slaton indicated sporadic damage to some vehicles, with unknown damage elsewhere along the hail's footprint.

Ìṣàpèjúwe Iṣẹ́ Ojú-ọjọ́ Orílẹ̀-èdè (Gẹ̀ẹ́sì): A spotter at the Slaton Municipal Airport reported baseball size hail. This hail was from one of several severe thunderstorms that developed off of the outflow of the initial thunderstorm in southwestern Lubbock County.

Ìṣàpèjúwe Iṣẹ́ Ojú-ọjọ́ Orílẹ̀-èdè (Gẹ̀ẹ́sì): A report was received of hail measuring 2.25 inches in diameter northeast of Ransom Canyon. Additionally, a report was received of damage to west facing windows to a structure along County Road 7120 east of Ransom Canyon. No damage was reported at the time.
