The hail severely damaged the foam on the external fuel tank of the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Due to the hail damage the shuttle was rolled back to the Assembly Building and the March 15th scheduled launch was postponed. There were estimates that 100 vehicles were damaged and a window was broken out of a guard shack. |
