Golf ball-sized hail fell near Lawrenceville and in Snellville. Penny to nickel-sized hail was reported in Duluth and Grayson. Other reports of penny to quarter-sized hail were received from Duluth, to Grayson, to south of Snellville.

Beskriuwing National Weather Service (Ingelsk): Several reports of large damaging hail were received from the public across the northern half of Gwinnett county. Half-dollar to golf ball-sized hail was observed in Duluth, half-dollar-sized hail just south of Suwanee, and quarter-sized hail in the Lawrenceville area. The ground was covered three inches deep in some areas. Many vehicles were damaged. The public noted damage to guttering on some homes as well. The public noted that the hail was up to three inches deep in the Duluth area following the storm.

Beskriuwing National Weather Service (Ingelsk): Amateur radio operators and the public reported hail up to the size of half-dollars and ping-pong balls, possibly some as large as golf balls, across far northwest and north central Gwinnett county from Norcross, to Sugar Hill and Buford. Several reports of penny to quarter-sized hail were also received from this same general area. WSR-88D radar data suggests that the largest hail likely fell near Norcross.
