National Weather Service description (English): Baseball to golf ball size hail reported along Ray Road and Anderson Creek Golf Course. The golf course superintendent reported major damage to course greens with approximately 60 cars sustaining heavy hail damage. The golf course had to be closed for one day to repair greens.

National Weather Service description (English): A supercell thunderstorm produced a swath of hail from Fort Bragg southeast to the western side of Fayetteville. The hail ranged from nickel to golf ball size. Nickel size hail covered the ground at Fort Bragg and the golf ball size reported originated from the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and William Clark Road in Fayetteville.
