National Weather Service description (English): More then a thousand vehicles and many homes in Sartell were damaged by the storm. Hail measured by trained spotter. All injuries were minor. The hail fell when winds were not too strong, so crop damage in the area was limited.

National Weather Service description (English): A two to three mile wide swath of very large hail extended from Northfield in Rice County to Wanamingo in Goodhue County. About 40,000 acres of crops were damaged or destroyed in Goodhue County. Vehicles, homes and businesses damaged. Damage total includes all storm reports from August 24 in Goodhue County.

National Weather Service description (English): Local Law Enforcement officials and the Emergency Manager reported a nearly continuous path of large hail that fell across northern Benton County from near Rice, northeast to Brennyville. This path is the extension of the hail swath across northern Stearns County. Most of the hail was nickel to quarter size and had depths over 6 inches in some places. The largest hail stone was around tennis ball size.
