National Weather Service description (English): Golf ball size hail fell at Jackson and northwest of Cape Girardeau near County Road 618. Quarter size hail fell in Cape Girardeau at Interstate 55 and Kings Highway. In Fruitland, hail was 1.5 inches in diameter. All 80 vehicles on a car lot in Jackson were damaged, with 10 to 15 dents in each car. The rear windows of several cars were smashed out.
