National Weather Service description (English): Public reported softball size hail at McAllen High School. These hailstones, as well as golfball to baseball sized stones which fell for more than twenty minutes while traversing the McAllen/Mission/Pharr area, caused unknown damage to vehicles but little damage to other structures as of this writing. National Weather Service description (English): Up to an hour of continuous hail, driven by frequent winds estimated at 70 to 75 mph, knocked at least one window out of every northï¿½ï¿½ï¿½facing home, defoliated nearly every tree, left up to a half foot of accumulated hail on the ground, and produced hail drifts up to 4 feet high. Numerous tree limbs were blown down, many homes had roof damage, and broken glass and water littered the north facing rooms and apartments. Hundreds of vehicles left outdoors were severely damaged by golf ball to baseball size hail dents, including many shattered windows.||Preliminary data estimate that 1100 homes and more than 60s businesses were affected by the wind and hail in McAllen, according to prelimina

National Weather Service description (English): Multiple reports of golf ball (1.75) to baseball (2.75) size hail falling across the Peï¿½ï¿½itas area. Several pictures showed hail sizes up to baseballs, with a few pictures showing hail damaged car windshields. One picture in particular showed hail going through the rear windshield of a vehicle with the hailstone intact in the backseat. That same car also had it's right driver's side taillight broken by the large hail. Several other reports of broken windshields or dents to cars were reported in and around Peï¿½ï¿½itas.
