National Weather Service description (English): Large hail over 2 inches in diameter fell in Sanger for several minutes. A photo of a hailstone greater than 5 inches in diameter was shown in Sanger. NWS Fort Worth examined the hail stone in person and determined it was 5.9 inches in size, and a record hail stone for the North and Central Texas region. The residents in Sanger said only a few large hail stones fell during the storm, most were notably smaller in size. Several of the largest hail stones broke apart upon impact, limiting the amount of damage in the town.

National Weather Service description (English): Softball sized hail was reported by a trained spotter one-eighth of a mile west of the Texas Woman's Campus in Denton. Additionally, this storm covered much of the city of Denton, and a considerable part of the County as well. The Insurance Council of Texas estimated approximately 35,000 vehicles, and 22,000 homes were damaged in some fashion with this storm. The damage estimate is aproximately 500 million dollars.
