This was the result of two severe thunderstorms that moved east across the county. The first storm tracked from west of Kingston to near Red Mountain State Park, while the second storm tracked from the Floyd county line west of Euharlee, to the south side of Cartersville, to Lake Allatoona. Although these storms were separate and distinct, they tracked across the same areas within a 10-mile/15-minute period.
