National Weather Service description (English): Numerous reports of very large hail were received from the Fayette County Emergency Management Director, the public, and off-duty National Weather Service employees across the northern part of the county from Tyronne, across the Sandy Creek and Lees Mill area, east-southeast toward Fayetteville, and to just east-southeast of Fayetteville. Most of the hail ranged in size from 2.75 to 3.0 inches throughout this area. Extensive damage was observed to the roofs and windows of homes and automobiles along the path of the supercell thunderstorm. The Fayette County Emergency Management Director reported that at least $250,000 in damages along was observed to county school skylights and windows. The

National Weather Service description (English): The public reported golf ball to softball-sized hail in the southwest part of Pike county near Molena. This hail was caused by a different thunderstorm from the one that spawned the F3 tornado in northern Pike southeast of Hollenville earlier. The thunderstorm that caused the large hail in southwest and south central Pike county was a separate supercell thunderstorm moving east across the southern part of the county.

National Weather Service description (English): The Fulton County Emergency Management Director observed baseball-sized hail across downtown Atlanta. Because of the extensive damage caused by the tornado the previous evening, it was hard to distinguish what damage was caused by the hail, but chards of glass were reported to have been spread across much of the downtown area. National Weather Service description (English): The public reported penny to golf ball-sized hail in the far northwestern part of Clayton county, just south of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, near U.S. 29 Highway, Roosevelt Highway, and Georgia Highway 279, Old National Highway.

The Fulton County 911 Center relayed a report of quarter-sized hail from the Fairburn area. Hail fell for 10 to 15 minutes in the Fairburn area. Georgia Highway 92 was reported to have been covered with hail. The storm weakened as it moved northeast, but penny-sized hail was still observed by the public as it moved through the East Point area near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
