A photo of a hailstone greater than 5 inches in diameter was shown in Sanger. NWS Fort Worth examined the hail stone in person and determined it was 5.9 inches in size, and a record hail stone for the North and Central Texas region. The residents in Sanger said only a few large hail stones fell during the storm, most were notably smaller in size.
