The hail fell from a supercell that tracked across the northeast part of the county from just south of Palmetto, along the Fulton-Coweta county line to just east of Cannongate along the Fayette county line. The large hail storm continued into northern Fayette county as well. The Coweta County Emergency Management County Director reported 4.25 inch diameter hail approximately four miles northeast of Madras near the Fulton county line. Ìṣàpèjúwe Iṣẹ́ Ojú-ọjọ́ Orílẹ̀-èdè (Gẹ̀ẹ́sì): The public reported golf ball to softball-sized hail in the southwest part of Pike county near Molena. This hail was caused by a different thunderstorm from the one that spawned the F3 tornado in northern Pike southeast of Hollenville earlier. The thunderstorm that caused the large hail in southwest and south central Pike county was a separate supercell thunderstorm moving east across the southern part of the county.

Ìṣàpèjúwe Iṣẹ́ Ojú-ọjọ́ Orílẹ̀-èdè (Gẹ̀ẹ́sì): The public observed golf ball-sized hail at the intersection of Redwine Road and Peachtree Parkway on the east side of Peachtree City. Half-dollar-sized hail was observed at the National Weather Service Forecast Office on the south side of Peachtree City at Falcon Field. Penny to nickel-sized hail was observed south of Fayetteville in the Starrs Mill and Brooks areas.

The Fulton County 911 Center relayed a report of quarter-sized hail from the Fairburn area. Hail fell for 10 to 15 minutes in the Fairburn area. Georgia Highway 92 was reported to have been covered with hail. The storm weakened as it moved northeast, but penny-sized hail was still observed by the public as it moved through the East Point area near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
