National Weather Service description (English): Very large hail was observed in far northeast Coweta county. Numerous reports of large hail were also received from northeast Coweta county. The hail fell from a supercell that tracked across the northeast part of the county from just south of Palmetto, along the Fulton-Coweta county line to just east of Cannongate along the Fayette county line. The large hail storm continued into northern Fayette county as well. The Coweta County Emergency Management County Director reported 4.25 inch diameter hail approximately four miles northeast of Madras near the Fulton county line. National Weather Service description (English): The public reported golf ball to softball-sized hail in the southwest part of Pike county near Molena. This hail was caused by a different thunderstorm from the one that spawned the F3 tornado in northern Pike southeast of Hollenville earlier. The thunderstorm that caused the large hail in southwest and south central Pike county was a separate supercell thunderstorm moving east across the southern part of the county.

National Weather Service description (English): The Fulton County Emergency Management Director observed baseball-sized hail across downtown Atlanta. Because of the extensive damage caused by the tornado the previous evening, it was hard to distinguish what damage was caused by the hail, but chards of glass were reported to have been spread across much of the downtown area. In addition, the public reported golf ball-sized hail southwest of Six Flags, just south of Interstate-20 in western Fulton county, including the area around Fulton Industrial Boulevard, and an off duty National Weather Service employee observed penny-sized hail just southeast of downtown Atlanta in the Grant Park area. National Weather Service description (English): The College Park Police Department observed golf ball-sized hail. The Fulton County 911 Center relayed a report of quarter-sized hail from the Fairburn area. Hail fell for 10 to 15 minutes in the Fairburn area. Georgia Highway 92 was reported to have been covered with hail. The storm weakened as it moved northeast, but penny-sized hail was still observed by the public as it moved through the East Point area near Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
