National Weather Service description (English): The third severe thunderstorm of the day for Northampton County dropped a swath of hail as large as hen eggs (2 inches in diameter) across the central and southern parts of the county. The hen egg size hail fell over the higher terrain of Williams Township. Half dollar size hail fell in Bethlehem and penny size hail fell in Nazareth.
