National Weather Service description (English): Several reports of large hail were received from the public across the central and southern portions of Forsyth county from Cumming southwest to near the Fulton county line, including Brookwood and Big Creek. National Weather Service description (English): Local Atlanta television stations relayed a report of golf ball-sized hail in the Dacula area. Several reports of penny-sized hail were received from the public in the Dacula area. The hail lasted several minutes at some locations. Radar data indicated that this was one of the strongest storms of the day and persisted in the same area for up to 30 minutes. Penny-sized hail was also reported just northwest of Lawrenceville, but this appeared to have been a different thunderstorm cell.
