National Weather Service description (English): A intensifying supercell thunderstorm tracked across southern Madison County and produced a swath of golf ball to baseball sized hail. The very large hail impacted areas across Ridgeland and the City of Madison. The supercell and severe hail continued across the Reservoir into Rankin County.

National Weather Service description (English): A large storm producing extremely large hail continued moving across the Jackson metro area and then across the rest of Rankin County. Hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter fell as this storm moved east causing substantial damage to vehicles and buildings. Baseball size hail fell at the MEMA State EOC causing extensive damage to state and personal vehicles. The Whitfield State Hospital had numerous windows blown out and extensive roof damage with glass ending up in patients' beds.

National Weather Service description (English): Large hail in a swath from near Raymond through the south side of Jackson. Numerous social media and broadcast media pictures showed golf ball sized hail along this swath, with several pictures showing hail stones up to the size of Easter eggs (hen eggs 2.0 inches). The largest measured stone was the size of tennis balls (2.5 inches) in southwest Jackson.
